We shot our products "SpiroClinic Compact" and "Spiroway Disposable" in the studio.
Inofab Health
Industrial Designer - Quality Management Representative
JULY 2017 - NOVEMBER 2018, ANKARA
When I started to work at Inofab Health as an industrial designer, the concept studies of SpiroHome Personal product were continuing in the company. I tried to contribute to these studies. We were trying to test concepts with prototypes. Then we started to design the product details. When the final product was completed, we would start the transfer to production.
Before starting production, a Quality Management System had to be established in-house. In the second half of this period, as the Quality Management Representative, I made an intense effort for 7 months in the establishment of this system and its integration into the company.
My experiences as an Industrial Designer;
Concept design development with sketches and mockups.
Product modeling and prototyping.
PCBA and electronic component assembly details design.
User tests after prototyping.
My experience in the role of Quality Management Representative;
Establishment of ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management System in the company (with the consultant firm)
Creation of Technical File for Spirometer (with consulting firm)
Determination of CE Technical file testing requirements.
Planning and implementation of external tests for CE Technical file.
Pass the ISO 13485:2016 and MDD 93/42/eec technical file audit by the notified body.
IDEAS DEVELOPMENT AND BRAINSTORM
We had done brainstorming, which is an indispensable part of the development of the project. We classified the brainstorming outputs and made them meaningful.
DESIGN OF RIB AND ASSEMBLY DETAILS
Considering the stresses and assemblies of the parts, we made detailed designs for the support "rib" and joining surfaces on the inner surfaces.
IDEA DEVELOPMENT
We often developed ideas with sketches to develop a concept within the project. We were advancing the process by classifying these ideas.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
I tried to develop concept designs with sketches and rapid prototypes based on the product idea.
I used a 3D printer and CNC laser cutter for rapid prototyping. I also used clay and foam materials.
PROCESS PLANNING
We were planning critical processes such as functional prototype making and sample production, closely following the process with daily scrums and trying to keep interdepartmental harmony at the highest level. For this, we were preparing the 2-week sprint planning visually on the board.
PROTOTYPING
For prototyping, we used the SLA method in addition to the FDM technique. For this, we used printers and accessories of the FormLabs brand.
AR-GE SÜREÇLERİNİN TASARLANMASI
In accordance with the Quality Management System, in-house R&D processes had to be planned and documented. For this, we created large flow charts and worked on them as a team.
PROTOTYPING
We were preparing rapid prototypes with programmable cards to explain the product idea and we were using it to convey the idea of proof of concept. Photo: A prototype we developed for drug tracking.
SKETCHING
We tried to determine the packaging design and box contents through idea sketches. In this process, we advanced the process by classifying the sketches of ideas.
OVERSEAS FAIR PARTICIPATIONS AND COLLECTING MARKET COMMENTS
We were trying to understand the comments and expectations of potential users with the fairs and congresses we attend every year.
